Travel arrangements

The start of the marathon and half-marathon is located in St. Jakob Park ("Joggeli"), St. Jakobs-Strasse 397, 4052 Basel. The start of the Ekiden marathon is located in the Eisengasse, just next to Marktplatz (tram 8 or 11 service to Marktplatz). The finish is located in Marktplatz in Basel old town. Tram 14 runs between Marktplatz and St. Jakob. The distance between the start and finish points is 3 km (as the crow flies). If you are coming by car or train, detailed travel information can be found at . Arrival by public transport is highly recommended as no additional parking is provided!

Late registrations

Are possible during the race number pick up (see below).

Clothing transport

Those taking part in the marathon / half-marathon can hand in their clothes at the start in St. Jakobshalle. The sports bags will then be transported in trucks to the finish area, where they can be collected in Barfüsserplatz (directly next to the shower tent). No clothing transport is provided for participants of the 1/6-Marathon. They can leave their clothes at the Stadtcasino / Barfüsserplatz (arrival area) and take the Tram 14 to the starting area.

Medals

If you reserved a finisher medal when registering online, you may collect this after crossing the finishing line. Your race number is marked with a corresponding medal symbol.

Pacemakers

The organisers provide experienced pacemakers over the distance of the marathon and the half-marathon. They will cover the whole course at a constant speed, making sure that all the runners who are following them to the finishing line just beat their respective finish times. Pacemakers are provided for the following finishing times:

Half-marathon
1:30 | 1:45 | 2:00

Medical services

First-aid stations are situated in the finish area and along the route. Medical care is provided by Hirslanden Klinik Birshof.

Race numbers

The numbers for all the races can be picked up on the Saturday before the "Manor Run to the Beat Basel" at the race exhibition () in the Stadtcasino Basel. The exhibition is open from 09.00 to 17.30 and admission is free to anyone interested in running. The race numbers for the marathon, the half-marathon and the 1/6-Marathon can also be collected from outside St. Jakobshalle, where the race starts, from 06.00 on the Sunday before the race.

Toilets

Toilets will be provided at the start and finish. Some refreshment stations along the route will also have portable toilets.

Changing facilities

Male and female changing rooms are provided at the start for runners of the marathon / half-marathon at the St. Jakobshalle. For 1/6-Marathon & Ekiden-runners, changing facilities are at the Stadtcasino. A shower tent is installed in Barfüsserplatz and can also be used for changing clothes. Alternatively, there are also changing facilities in the nearby Stadtcasino.

Refreshments

A variety of refreshment stations are provided for runners along the route. They will hand out water (Eptinger), isotonic drinks, energy bars/gels and other restorative foods (power bars and bananas). The stands are evenly distributed over the course at intervals of around 3.5 km to ensure that all participants receive the best possible care. Rivella, Erdinger Alkoholfrei and Eptinger are providing the refreshments for the runners in the finish area.
